Healthcare Leadership -- Dr. Michael Bell
An expert in drug-resistant pathogens and hospital-acquired infections, Dr. Michael Bell’s career has focused on investigating and preventing transmission of healthcare-associated illnesses for hospital patients and staff alike. He has been instrumental in advancing programs evidence-based for prevention of antimicrobial resistance and improvements in safe medical practices. His ACE keynote addressed healthcare quality and infection prevention.
Executive Leadership -- Admiral James Stravidis
The United States has been forced into a global leadership position in waging a fight against extreme terrorism and in many respects this is unlike any struggle we have ever faced. Adm. (Ret.) James Stravidis has been a strategic leader in this fight. Adm. Stravidis spoke to ACE Summit attendees about how to understand this complex struggle and what it means for the world, the United States, their organization and for them personally.
Inspiring Others -- Platon
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If this is true, Platon is one of the world's greatest storytellers. His portraits are found in a range of international publications including Rolling Stone, the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair and Time Magazine. He has photographed over 100 world leaders and highlighted human rights defenders. Through his work he aspires to break barriers, expand dignity, fight discrimination and spread public awareness. At ACE, he inspired attendees to tap into the human condition.
