The GHX Portfolio: Orchestrating Demand at the Front End

In recent years, supply chain spending has skyrocketed, now comprising over a third of the total cost of patient care. And it’s no secret that obtaining the right item, from the right source, at the right contractual price can be challenging. In this complicated supply chain environment, how can health systems combat rising inflation and shrinking bottom lines?

Join GHX experts Lisa Mendez and Gina Dolan for a discussion about orchestrating demand across the entire spend footprint, starting from the front end. In this lunch and learn, attendees will:

    -     Hear how GHX is helping build more a resilient, clinically integrated supply chain at the point of demand.

    -     Discuss how to drive compliance and increase savings from the front end of the procurement process.

    -     Learn how harmonization, transformation and enrichment improve data accuracy and influence purchasing decisions.

    -     Explore a live demo of the GHX Marketplace buying experience.

We hope you can join your peers and our experts for this discussion!

Healthcare Supply Chain Resiliency – Managing a Disrupted Supply Chain in the Post-Covid World

A fragile medical and pharmaceutical supply chain continues to hinder US healthcare years after the pandemic. The current state is costly to health systems, suppliers, and ultimately patients. Stockouts have led to lack of trust, excess inventory, wasted labor, and suboptimal care. The growth of both provider and supplier revenue has been restrained while margins have been reduced. These issues persist due to conditions that will not change on their own: increased globalization and complexity, lack of transparency, weak data standardization, and inadequate preparation.  But there are solutions, and parts of the industry are adapting quickly.  Healthcare providers can focus on three main areas: 1) Metrics and Accountability 2) Preparation and Planning 3) Operational Forecasting. Suppliers can benefit from: 1) Increased Market & Customer Visibility 2) Supply Chain Optimization 3) Improved Business & Demand Planning. This session will highlight the key actions providers and suppliers can take today, as well as proven strategies, to help prepare themselves for the near future.

Learning Objectives

1. Learn the key metrics to understand a health system resiliency risk.
2. Understand the nature and scope of global healthcare supply issues.
3. Identify the specific root cause of supply issues.
4. Understand the elements of a strong resiliency plan.
5. Learn how to use data to develop actionable operational forecasting.
